The Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Directory 2004

Started in 1990, the Lugar Series trains up to twenty outstanding Hoosier women each year. Most of the graduates of the program have accepted larger roles in the public arena. The program’s goal is to develop new Republican and community leaders. Other states including Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Kentucky, Connecticut, California, Alaska, Nevada and Florida have used the Lugar Series as a model for starting similar programs. This 2004 publication lists the contact details for the women who participated in the program from its founding in 1990 to 2003.
